Our Revolutionary Waste 360° Approach

What Do We Do with All the Waste?

Every organization generates waste—and every organization faces the challenge of managing it responsibly and intelligently to support a sustainable future.

Electra Environment delivers advanced waste management solutions based on its innovative Waste 360° approach, promoting a circular economy and striving toward zero landfill. As an entrepreneurial leader in the field, Electra Environment actively participates in national waste tenders and proudly introduces cutting-edge waste management technologies to the Israeli market.

These technologies enable us to significantly reduce waste generation per capita, protect the environment, and transform waste from a harmful burden into a valuable resource.

What Do We Do with All the Waste?

Practical Solutions to a National Challenge

Israel’s municipal waste sector is facing a critical challenge: approximately 80% of waste is sent to landfills, many of which have already reached full capacity and are no longer operational. At the same time, Israel generates about 30% more waste per capita than the European Union average, with volumes increasing by approximately 2.6% annually due to demographic and consumption trends.

In response, the Ministry of Environmental Protection has introduced comprehensive reforms, setting a national target to reduce landfill disposal to just 20% by 2030.

Our mission is to help reshape Israel’s waste management landscape and play a key role in developing the infrastructure required for advanced waste treatment solutions.

This includes the development of state-of-the-art facilities such as:

  • Waste sorting facilities
  • Waste-to-energy plants
  • Organic waste treatment facilities (anaerobic digestion and composting)

Circular Economy

Production | Use | Recovery

A circular economy rethinks how we design, produce, and consume—keeping materials in use for as long as possible.

Redefining Waste

A circular economy aims to fundamentally change the way we think about production, consumption, and waste. Today’s linear model generates vast amounts of waste—often from products designed for short-term use before being discarded.

By adopting circular economy principles and advanced waste management practices, we can preserve the value of products and materials for longer. This means designing durable products, and prioritizing repair, reuse, and recycling over disposal.
